I think they can only remember their "past," so they could not remember Flocke because
if things are parallel then the sideways arc is in the past, soon after the Ajira flight first
landed. On the other hand this would mean that Libby and Hurley went on a date only days
after the crash... because otherwise my theory is wrong and I don't see why they could not
remember Flocke at all since anything would be fair game.

Anyhow this hurts my brain.
I'm just glad that my favorite sideways cop show is back on the air.
I would rather watch James and Miles then any other sub arc. C'mon with
the garden hose... really. Straight out of Magnum. i.e. freaking classic.

Good episode! Not as strong as the latest two, but they are obviously hard to beat anyway.

Still I liked it.

FINALLY!!!! Jin/Sun Reunion! Sweet! Image

So Smokey was Christian, comfirmed now.

I loved the allegory in the beginning with Locke in the ambulance vehicle when he talked about Helen and that he wanted to marry her. Regarding that it was obvious that they have only ONE hospital with ONE doctor, so they would bring him to Jack, I had to think of Sarah who wanted to dance at her wedding. :P That was well done!

Smocke is losing control, right? Seems that they are now laying pipes for a big finale event. I can see a huge showdown coming towards us.

So with CS being confirmed as the smoke monster we can now say that Ben really has been betryed all the time, right? The poor manipulator has been maniupalted into thinking that he worked for Jacob and all the time he received orders from MIB. I can imagine that the wheels are already spinning in Ben's brain!

I didn't expect to see Ilana in the sideways, kudos here to that surprise moment. Good connection solved to bring more and more people together. Desmond is playing chess.

What I wondered: How were they even able to sail without one single sail open? :? Didn't see a motor running, so I guess they would have at least need ONE sail to catch some wind. That was a bit...er.....weird.

@namaste: Sun was close to death, so she had flashes ( I think) and yes, I guess she didn't recognize Locke, but MIB. I loved it how they left open if John has flashes.

Unfortunately we have to wait two weeks now. And for the next episode I am not going to be here and not going to be able to watch it before the weekend after the episode because I will have to stay a week in the hospital.    No, not Jack's hospital.

Ok...so nobody mentioned the elephant in the room...Sun suddenly speaking English again. In my opinion, that signifies she is officially either free of Flocke's influence, or that she was a candidate and going to die on the side-ways timeline until she decided to hop on the boat. Suddenly she's OK at the hospital, and gets her English back at the same time, signifying and confirming also what we already know to come
Spoiler:
that she will die in the next episode now that the island is done with her....and she's safe in the side-ways timeline.

I still think that it's going to be Sawyer left on the island since he's got nothing much going for him in either timeline. Oddly enough...I have a strange feeling it could be Miles as well or Lapidus....but only because we haven't seen them all too successful in the side-ways timeline...especially in the love category.

@msmaron:

Ben always thought that Jacob was in the cabin, that is why he brought John there, right? And if he always answered to the man in the cabin, the man he never met, we can safely assume that Ben never got orders from Jacob. Even more we can believe this since Ilana pointed out that he wasn't using this cabin anymore for a very long time.

Jacob was the one who wanted to have people on the island.....would he give the order for a purge then? :? Obviously not.

When John Locke was in the cabin and Christian told him that he can speak on Jacob's behalf, he was (after we know now who CS was) lying. So Jacob was never the one who wanted the island to be moved.

I think Jacob brought Ben to the island, but he gave him up after Richard had brought him to the temple and from then on MIB took over and let Ben always believe to work for Jacob. The manipulator had been deceived.

The last few episodes have really been coming together and definitley more enjoyable then the start of this season.
A couple of thoughts.

-The part I like is Desmond's role. I mean he is the one that actually caused their plane to crash by not pushing the button resulting in the Losties reaching the island. Now in the sideways he is intervening and helping the Losties come together and remember some things. That is actually what I find really interesting. The losties are all connected as we have seen but I find it interesting that Desmond is the root cause that brought them together on the island and now in the alt. timeline. Not with everyone but some. If he doesn't hit Locke then Jack wouldn't be there to work on him. He intervenes with Claire. Just a side note that I thought was interesting to think about. I know MIB says Jacob brought them there but does any of this really happen without Desmond?

-As for the poster about Ben taking orders from MIB in cabin. I respectfully disagree to apoint. If you remember Ben admits to Locke that he never really heard Jacob speak and he was making it up when he took Locke there and was actually shocked and surprised when Locke heard something. Ben was sending Locke on a red herring and lying to him. Ben received Jacob's orders through Richard and was kept in the dark by Jacob similar to how Dogen didn't speak directly with anyone at the Temple but htrough an interpreter. Now when he went to the Temple and MIB posed as his daughter etc. he was manipulated the rest of the way but I do not think he took orders from MIB or Jacob before this point and the walk to the cabin with Locke was just a ruse and then he shot him afterward.

-Did the last recruit actually refer to Jack being UnLocke's last recruit? Think about it. A bit confused by this.

JMG wrote:It was a Okey epi but not wow. Smokey was CS all the time, Smokey can't even go to the hydra island, so how he was on the freighter talking to Michael ?

After all that time the Jin/Sun reunion was a little lame, with no emotion at all.

Ben doesn't even exist in this season and was one of the best characters, Sawyer want to leave the island and forgot about Miles ? he didn't even asked for him...

I think what I like least about this season is that there is nothing to think about it, just watch one episode and wait for the next one.

I couldn't agree with you more. This season has so many "sloppy" aspects, it's hard to imagine that these are the same writers who did seasons past. Sun loses her voice... they keep that going for a couple of episodes... "You did this to me!" Flocke - "I didn't do that to you". All of a sudden she sees Jin and she gets her voice back. Wow, what a deep and strong build up and for such a grand purpose. The End... Then there's Jack "Wishy Washy" Shephard... Let's go... let's not go... no no, let's go... wait , wait, not a good idea, let's don't go! And Hurley, "dude, I know what to do, let's go talk to the smoke thing". Then once they're there, "it's all you Jack". They've got to be kidding.

Agree not the best epi but a good. This is how the first epis should have been.bumed that CS was smokey as much as i knew that it was i REALLY wanted it to not be. still wanna know where the body went. oh and about the real Locke being just a pawn when mib call locke a chump or w/e he said i wanted to punch him in the face for talking about Locke that way. well i guess this what i get for showing up late all my thoughts got stolen. somebody said something about a break after this week i dont know if you are over seas or something but the only date that lost will not play until its over is MAY 18th 2010.

p.s. if lapidus was the last person left i think i would be fine with that........What a twist!!!!!(for RC fans)

 :o wow i just looked ahead on my tv guide and next week is a repeat :( :? . sry for not trusting you  . i guess thats what i get for using darkufo as my source
If i could go back in time i would rewrite LOST...

some questions/thoughts to this imo weak episode:

Claire:
Is she still pregnant?...it looks like that and if not where is Aaron?

Sahid:
As Flocke asked Sahid if he killed Des...it looks like that Des could convince him not to do it and bringing Sahid back to 'life'. I guess he is not on Flocke's side anymore...Claire either...so Jack is his last recruit?

Desmond:
Is Desmond a candidate? He can see this strange boy and Flocke can't kill him...would be a nice twist!
It takes a very long time when you're making the thread, but I suppose that's the point, isn't it?

@oJo:
Of course is Claire pregnant in the sideways, she even talked to Desmond about her day in the hospital and that she now knows that it is a boy. And show me a woman with such a belly and the rest of the body slim who is NOT pregnant! LOL! Maybe the episode was weak for you, because you didn' pay attention.

Thank's Andrea you are right...I thought she already gave birth.
Tell me:
DOCTOR GOODSPEED: What's happening is that Mother Nature's gotten a little ahead of herself. Are you ready to have your baby?

CLAIRE: I, I'm sorry. What?!

DOCTOR GOODSPEED: You're at thirty six weeks, three centimeters dilated and about 80% effaced, which means, if you want, you can have your baby tonight.

I bet no doctor would her allow to leave the hospital... ;) I guess you haven't kids

Stay tuned and pay attention

It got pretty off topic, so I split it. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2318&p=15699#p15699
LOCKE: "Does any of this look familiar from when you were coming back?"
SAWYER “Well, yeah, there's my favorite leaf. How could I forget this place?"
